SOMMOS
We are a Bolivian venture legally incorporated in the United States and Bolivia. We specialize in creating new financial solutions that consider the traditional characteristics unique to our region, providing access to collaborative savings and payment alternatives among individuals. We have digitized the “pasanaku” (rotating savings and credit association), offering our users the management of turns and access to additional financial benefits. Furthermore, we have digitized community banking, credit management, and individual scheduled savings.
We have B2B solutions and are committed to working closely with our clients to understand their unique requirements, tailoring our solutions to their specific goals and challenges.
A challenge arises
The idea was born with the purpose of bringing financial inclusion to the region through a cultural connection. Our first challenge was to digitize the ‘pasanaku’ (rotating savings and credit association), for which an application was developed to manage groups through mobile devices.
First round of investment
We have successfully completed a first round of pre-seed capital investment with $150,000 from U.S. funds and investors from across the region.
New opportunities
In a continuous approach to the people of the region and their needs, we managed to identify new opportunities. We created digital financial solutions for banking institutions and businesses involved in credit sales.
Second round of investment and internationalization
We secured a $360,000 investment from investors in Peru, the United States, and England. We initiated our internationalization by forming a partnership with MiBanco Peru.

Jhonny Ventiades

Jhonny is a Systems Engineer, specialized in Data Analysis, and certified as an Android Developer by Google. He has professional experience in India, Egypt, and Bolivia, and has served as a lecturer at two Bolivian universities.
Yara Lewensztain
Chief Operating Officer
Co-founder
Yara holds degrees in Business Administration and Commercial Engineering, with a master’s in International Business specializing in Project Management from the Universidad Politécnica de Cataluña-España. She has previous experience in two startups.
Diego Rojas

Co-founder
Diego holds a Fulbright scholarship master’s degree from the United States and is currently pursuing a dual master’s (Public Policy and Business Administration) at the University of Oxford as a scholar. He is the co-founder and CEO of Tu Beca Bolivia. He was named among the list of the top 100 brightest MBA students in the world in 2023.
